Bob Carroll

President

Bob is an owner and serves as the President of Construction Service. In over 30 years in the construction industry, he has played an integral management role in the operations of multiple businesses, primarily in the ready-mixed concrete and sand and gravel sectors, and, more recently, in the guardrail sector.

In early 2019, as a minority shareholder, Bob and his son Rob acquired the remaining shares of Construction Service from his family’s business Carroll Concrete. Prior to this recent structural shift, and, for much of his career, Bob played an integral role in the operation of the Carroll family’s businesses (NH, VT and MA).  Having steered the company through the financial crisis, Bob was named COO in 2014, and held primary responsibility for the operations of all the Carroll family’s businesses in addition to providing strategic direction and leadership. Prior to that, he led the transition team responsible for the integration of six acquisitions realized between 1987 and 2008 and managed operations through a period in which the business doubled in size four times over fourteen years.

Bob is a recognized leader in the ready-mix industry and has served on the board of directors and various committees for NRMCA and ABC in addition to his involvement in a highly respected industry peer group. Bob holds a bachelor’s degree in Business from the University of New Hampshire.

 

Pete Maldonado

General Manager

Pete Maldonado has been with Construction Service since 2014 and currently serves as General Manager. He oversees all union personnel as well as the dispatch team.

Prior to his time at CS, Pete was most recently a member of the Operations Efficiency Team for Aggregate Industries, a multi-national materials company owned by Holcim. There he travelled nationally to improve operations, safety and efficiency at every level. Having started his career in the ready-mix industry as a driver with Aggregate Industries, Pete was cross trained to operate and batch multiple locations in the greater Boston and Worcester areas. He moved up the ranks from driver to dispatcher and has worked in a supervisory capacity in several positions within the industry ever since.

Ralph Olds

Manager - Sales / Quality Control

Ralph Olds has been with Construction Service and its predecessor since 1994 and currently serves as the Sales and Quality Control Manager. Ralph maintains an extensive network of industry professionals and customers through his dual management role and has an excellent reputation regionally for his technical expertise.

Ralph joined Construction Service as a concrete technician and has earned and kept current a multitude of technical certifications as well as accredited programs with the National Ready Mix Concrete Association. Ralph is a member of the MA Concrete & Aggregate Producers Association “Tech & Spec” committee and ACI New England contributing valuable expertise and experience in locally promoting the best practices and uses of ready-mix concrete.
